About Me

Hi! My name is Kiran and I’m a Registered Holistic Nutritionist living in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.  I have a little girl who is my inspiration and motivation to educate people (especially moms) about the impact nutrition has on physical and mental health.

After completing my B.Sc. in Integrated Sciences at UBC, I veered off into another direction and began working with children with autism. I found it intriguing that many of the kids I worked with were diagnosed with food allergies and sensitivities.  When I became pregnant with my own child I began researching the effects of nutrition and environmental chemicals on a growing baby.  The more I learned, the more interested I became in nutrition and health.  When I discovered that my daughter suffered from GERD and food sensitivities I became even more determined to learn as much as I could about holistic nutrition in order to help her.

On my journey to help my daughter I ended up inadvertently helping myself as well.  Because I was eating the same diet that I was feeding her, I started noticing positive changes in my own health.  For one, the eczema that I had since childhood went away.  Second, the brain fog that I didn’t even realize I had went away.  I could think more clearly, I had more energy, and felt better overall.  It’s mind-boggling that I was going through life not feeling my best without even realizing it because I was so accustomed to feeling that way.

That’s why I consider my daughter’s early gut issues to be a blessing in disguise.  I have no doubt that my health would have eventually taken a downward spiral had I not made those changes, and my daughter would not be as healthy as she is today if I had not been forced to educate myself on nutrition and wellness.  I am thankful to have caught my daughter’s food intolerances before they led to more severe issues, but oh how I wish someone had educated me on gut health and nutrition earlier.  It could have saved us both a lot of grief! The #momguilt is real.  I hope to spare others from the same experience as well as to help those who are already struggling.

That’s why I decided to pursue a diploma in Natural Nutrition from CSNN and become a Holistic Nutritionist, so that I could help not only my own family but others as well.  I now work with clients one-on-one in addition to running group programs.

I specialize in plant-based nutrition for both women and children, but I help all eaters including omnivores.  My goal is to help as many families as possible learn how to not just survive but truly THRIVE with the power of holistic nutrition.

My family and I are new to plant based eating and I am so thankful I found Kiran! It’s a very confusing path to go down without direction and I was overloaded with information I’d find online.

Not only has Kiran walked me through my lists of questions, but she’s also given me the confidence and tools I need to make sure my kids are getting all the right nutrients.  She’s incredibly professional, organized and explains things so it’s very easy to follow.  She is my go-to for help as I navigate this new lifestyle for our family.  I HIGHLY recommend Kiran and look forward to continuing to learn from her!

My family and I began working with Kiran when my baby was diagnosed with food sensitivities/allergies. She was very knowledgeable and empathetic. She provided us with a thorough plan and clear recommendations that aligned well with our paediatric allergist’s plan. Her recommendations were well thought out and evidence based. She was easy to connect with and always available for support. We could not have been happier with our experience. Highly recommend Kiran and would not hesitate to work with her again in the future.
