Green Mango Breakfast Smoothie

This smoothie recipe happens to be my daughter’s favourite because she LOVES mangoes. So do I!

I always pack some protein and healthy fat into our smoothies to turn them into a quick breakfast (or very filling mid-day snack). Leafy greens are also a MUST because smoothies are such an easy way to get some extra green goodness without the cumbersome task of chewing 😉. If you’ve gotta rush out the door they can also be transferred to a to-go cup, and many blenders actually come with a lid for the cup attachment to save time (and dishes!).

Green Mango Breakfast Smoothie (serves 2)

Ingredients:

1 cup mango chunks (frozen or fresh)

1 very ripe banana

2-3 large handfuls of spinach

5 tbsp hemp seeds

2 tbsp pumpkin seeds

1/4 lime (optional)

Water

Directions:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend. Easy peasy!

Tip: If you don’t have a high-power blender, grind the seeds into a powder in a coffee grinder first.
